EDMONTON — The Edmonton Police Service is asking for the public’s assistance in locating missing 32 year old Nadia Atwi out of the Edmonton, Alberta area.
Nadia was last seen by her husband at home in the area of 48th Street and 146th Avenue around 6:30 am on Friday, December 8, 2017. Her car was later found in a ditch at 4:30 pm in the Rundle Park area. Her cell phone and wallet were found in the car, as well as a hijab. One of her shoes is believed to have been found outside of the vehicle. It is not known if Nadia was wearing either of those items before she left her vehicle, so it is possible that she may not be wearing shoes or her hijab at this time. When she went missing she was believed to have been wearing dark clothing.
Police and family say Nadia’s disappearance is uncharacteristic and they are concerned for her safety and well-being. It is noted that she requires medication and may be confused.
Searches of the area have been done and are still on going.
Nadia is described as:
• GENDER: Female.
• ETHNICITY: Lebanese.
• HAIR: Long, dark brown.
• EYES: Brown.
• HEIGHT: 5 feet 8 inches.
• WEIGHT: 170 to 180 pounds.
